About

The Wulfsohn Trail is a moderate, 1.12-mile hiking route located in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, situated directly behind the Glenwood Springs Community Center and adjacent to the Glenwood Meadows Shopping Center. The trail begins in a large parking lot at the community center and ascends steadily through Wulfsohn Mountain Park. The route covers approximately 1,841 meters in length with an elevation gain of roughly 1,759 to 1,826 feet, resulting in a total elevation range between 5,760 and 6,043 feet. Hikers typically complete the trail in about one hour. The surface consists of rocky singletrack cinder paths and unpaved dirt, featuring some rocky sections that can become muddy or washed out depending on weather conditions. There is very little shade along the path, making sun protection advisable during warmer months. The trail is open year-round and allows hiking, running, mountain biking, and leashed dogs. It connects to the Defiance Trail and the Red Mountain Trails system for extended mileage.
