Founders Jack Pester launched Alta Fuels in Denver back in 1994, starting with just seven locations before expanding into the network known today as Alta Convenience. The name translates to "high" or "peak" in Italian, a nod to Colorado’s mountain ranges. This Delta, Colorado location stands as one of more than 110 stores operating across four states: Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, and Nebraska.
