Aspen Grove Campground

Surrounded by a high-mountain lake and meadow, Vega State Park’s Aspen Grove Campground offers campsites with fire pits, picnic tables, and pleasant views. Located in Collbran, the site provides options for walk-in tent camping and RV hook-ups. Amenities include coin-operated showers, flush toilets, and a dump station. Water spigets are available throughout the campground, though they shut off annually around October 31. The campground is one of four at the park, which features 109 campsites ranging from pull-through electric hook-ups to walk-in sites. The park is open year-round for activities like birding, hiking, fishing, and cross-country skiing. Cabins are also available in the nearby Pioneer Campground. The park entrance fee is $10-$15 for a daily vehicle pass. Dogs are permitted on a leash.
