Perched at the base of Pole Creek Mountain, the Cabins at Lost Trail provide a remote sanctuary in the San Juan Mountains where guests disconnect from the noise of busy lives. We are Ruben and Susan Urrutia, caretakers of this unique property and owners of Lost Trail Outfitters and Gracie Elaine Photography. Our family has called Creede home for years, raising our daughters Abigail and Allyson here, and we love sharing the area’s outdoor playground with visitors who appreciate the Colorado mountains. The Rio Grande Valley below and the peaks above create an ideal setting for hiking, fishing, and horseback riding. Many guests return in late September to witness the spectacular fall colors and explore the outstanding trails leading up to the Continental Divide. Beyond the cabins themselves, we offer curated experiences to enhance your stay. You can join us for a fly fishing trip on the local waters, take a guided horseback ride through the surrounding terrain, or schedule a photo session with Gracie Elaine Photography to capture your family memories.
