About
The Avon Pavilion at Harry A. Nottingham Park serves as a year-round cultural and entertainment hub in Avon, hosting festivals, concerts, art exhibitions, theater performances, and private functions like weddings. The venue features a 25' x 45' performance stage capable of accommodating a 60-piece orchestra, a terrace overlooking Nottingham Lake, and a green room that doubles as a kitchenette for events. Nottingham Lake itself anchors the park’s recreational offerings, providing a designated swimming area and fishing opportunities during the summer months with a valid Colorado Fishing License. Water activities extend to kayaking and paddleboarding near the shore. The 48-acre park includes a paved loop around the lake ideal for walking, a playground, tennis and basketball courts, a sand volleyball area, and an off-leash dog area with limited hours. Free concerts are held every Wednesday night during the summer. Parking is available at several locations, including the west end of the old Avon Municipal Building at 1 Lake Street, along Lake Street, on the north end of the lake, and at the Avon Recreation Center.
