About

Step back into Aspen’s past with guided walking tours led by trained interpretive guides. The Eras of Aspen: Downtown History Tour starts at the Sister Cities Plaza on Wagner Park, winding through historical buildings to conclude at the Hotel Jerome. Meanwhile, the Neighborhood History Tour: the West End explores tree-lined streets and historic homes, showcasing Victorian and midcentury modern architecture alongside local stories. For a more relaxed experience, the Hotel Jerome Tour offers an inside look at the lobby and first floor of the building that has anchored community life since 1889. Visitors can also take a ride on the History Coach, an electric vehicle that travels from downtown to the Holden/Marolt Mining & Ranching Museum at Aspen’s west entrance. This driving tour highlights the region's evolution from a mining hub to a world-famous ski resort. Custom à la carte experiences are available by appointment during off-seasons, costing $40 per person for groups of two or more.
