At 115 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Pitkin, or 25 miles east of Gunnison, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation and outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include... Pitkin, Monarch Pass, Waunita Hot Spgs, and White Pine.

This includes U.S. Highway 50 in Colorado between mile markers 191 and 192, and between mile markers 196 and 200.
