...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM TO 8 PM MDT THURSDAY FOR GUSTY WINDS, LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND DRY FUELS FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES 207, 290, 486, 487, AND 490......FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING FOR GUSTY WINDS, LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND DRY FUELS FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES 207, 290, 486, 487, AND 490...The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a Red Flag Warning for gusty winds, low relative humidity and dry fuels, which is in effect from 1 PM to 8 PM MDT Thursday. A Fire Weather Watch has also been issued. This Fire Weather Watch for gusty winds, low relative humidity and dry fuels is in effect from Friday afternoon through Friday evening. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
AFFECTED AREA
In Colorado, Fire Weather Zone 207 Southwest Colorado Lower Forecast Area and Fire Weather Zone 290 Paradox Valley Forecast Area. In Utah, Fire Weather Zone 486 Eastern Uinta Basin, Fire Weather Zone 487 Book Cliffs and Fire Weather Zone 490 Colorado River Basin.
TIMING
For the first Red Flag Warning, until 8 PM MDT this evening. For the second Red Flag Warning, from 1 PM to 8 PM MDT Thursday. For the Fire Weather Watch, from Friday afternoon through Friday evening.

South 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.
