At 1116 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12 miles northwest of Durango, moving northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation and outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include... Rockwood.

This includes U.S. Highway 550 in Colorado between mile markers 39 and 57.
