WHAT
Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
WHERE
Portions of Colorado, including the following areas, Central Colorado River Basin, Central Gunnison and Uncompahgre River Basin, Central Yampa River Basin, Debeque to Silt Corridor, Flat Tops, Gore and Elk Mountains/Central Mountain Valleys, Grand Valley, Lower Yampa River Basin, Upper Gunnison River Valley and West Elk and Sawatch Mountains and northeast Utah, including the following areas, Eastern Uinta Basin and Eastern Uinta Mountains.
WHEN
Through late Saturday night.
IMPACTS
Excessive rainfall may result in flooding of slot canyons, normally dry washes, slickrock areas, recent burn scars, urban areas, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Rockslides and mudslides are possible in the mountains.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- Tropical moisture will continue streaming northward into the region bringing widespread heavy rain and increasing the threat of flash flooding across portions of southeastern Utah and southwest Colorado.
