Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
WHERE
A portion of southwest Colorado, including the following areas, Animas River Basin, San Juan River Basin and Southwest San Juan Mountains.
WHEN
From 6 AM MDT this morning through Tuesday morning.
IMPACTS
At 11.0 feet, Water will approach the area around the River Center shopping complex in Pagosa Springs. Inundation of sections of Hermosa Street and low land areas adjacent to the river can be expected.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- At 10:00 AM MDT Sunday the stage was 9.6 feet. - Bankfull stage is 8.5 feet - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening to a crest of 10.9 feet early Tuesday morning. It will then fall below flood stage Tuesday morning. - Flood stage is 10.5 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 10.2 feet on 06/09/2019. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
