At 708 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 15 miles south of Cortez, or 23 miles north of Shiprock, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include... Cortez, Arriola, Towaoc, and Mesa Verde Natl Park.

This includes the following highways... U.S. Highway 491 in Colorado between mile markers 27 and 33. U.S. Highway 160 in Colorado between mile markers 19 and 44. Colorado 145 between mile markers 1 and 2.
