The City of Durango launched an interactive map displaying current flood-related road closures and debris removal guidelines for residents across La Plata County.

Durango, CO: **Residents can view current road closures across La Plata County on an interactive map developed by the City of Durango, which shows roadway conditions and access restrictions as crews respond to impacts from recent flooding.

Motorists should use caution, obey all posted barricades and road closure signs, and avoid driving through flooded or damaged roadways. Road conditions may change rapidly as crews continue to assess and repair affected areas.

Residents and businesses can begin stockpiling debris from recent flooding as part of cleanup efforts, but do not pile debris near curbs or in streets, as this may hamper emergency response efforts. Please be aware of city trucks that are hauling mud and debris from streets and give them the appropriate space to conduct their work.

The city and La Plata County are finalizing details on debris removal. Do not take debris to the La Plata County Fairgrounds. Hazardous material cannot be picked up.

The city will continue to coordinate with partners across the county to keep the map up to date.
