The City of Durango is seeking public input on design elements for a new downtown parking wayfinding signage system through an online survey available from September 16 to September 30.

Durango, CO: **The City of Durango is seeking public input to help redesign its downtown parking wayfinding signage system.

The city’s current parking signs are outdated, making it difficult for residents and visitors to navigate downtown parking efficiently. To address this, City Council directed staff to develop a Parking Wayfinding Sign Plan to create an intuitive, highly functional system that reduces traffic circulation and simplifies parking.

Before making any final changes, staff wants to ensure the new signs reflect Durango’s unique local identity. Community members are invited to share their feedback on potential design elements—including colors, materials, and textures—to ensure the final look honors Durango’s rich aesthetics and historic culture while maximizing visibility and functionality.

How to Participate:
Provide your input on the poll hosted on Engage Durango. The poll will be available Wednesday, Sept. 16, through Wednesday, Sept. 30.

For more information on the project or to take the survey starting September 16, please visit the Engage Durango Parking Wayfinding Project Page.
