At a glance

The City of Rifle will close the E. Ninth Street and Whiteriver Avenue intersection on October 21 to grade for repaving, detouring traffic via E. Seventh and Fifth Streets.

INTERSECTION CLOSURE — E. NINTH STREET & WHITERIVER AVENUE

The closure will allow crews to begin grading the intersection in preparation for repaving Whiteriver Avenue. Paving is scheduled to begin Friday at the north end of Whiteriver Avenue near the intersection of E. 16th Street.

CLOSURE: Wednesday, October 21

DETOUR: Traffic will be detoured to E. Seventh Street and E. Fifth Street.

Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra time and watch for crews and changing traffic conditions.

The City appreciates the community’s patience as the Whiteriver Avenue project moves into the paving phase.
