Durango, CO: **The City of Durango’s finance team has released its Popular Annual Financial Report to clearly and simply share a government's financial performance with the public.
The report for 2025 is designed to be easily understood by a wide audience, including those without a financial background. It aims to present key financial information in a clear, visually engaging format that is easily understandable for residents.
Providing simple information on where taxpayer money comes from and how it is being spent helps residents stay informed about city operations and priorities. By making financial data more accessible, the city is implementing its vision of providing outstanding services and experiences to the entire community. Doing so also demonstrates responsible financial stewardship, strengthens support for city initiatives, and fosters a stronger connection between the local government and the residents it serves.
The report is organized by the city’s strategic plan goal areas to provide residents with a clearer understanding of how public dollars were used to advance priorities such as infrastructure, public safety, housing, and workforce development.
This report does not replace any existing financial reports; it simply serves as an additional resource. The full 2025 Annual Financial Report is also available on the city’s website, along with the current 2026 Adopted Budget.
