Durango, CO: **The City of Durango invites residents to learn about the Comprehensive Plan Update and provide feedback directly to the executive leaders of the city during the “Engage Durango Forum,” to be held from 5-6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 25, at the Durango Recreation Center, located at 2700 Main Ave.
The goal of the forum, held on the fourth Tuesday of every other month, connects the public with the city’s departmental directors and staff on issues or questions related to local government. The meeting on Aug. 25 will include a presentation about the Comprehensive Plan Update, which guides decisions about growth, housing, transportation, infrastructure, sustainability, and the overall quality of life in Durango.
The short presentations will be followed by a Q&A session and a breakout session where directors or staff from each department will be available at tables to speak with the public, answer questions, and provide information about projects.
Residents can pick up an Engage Durango Passport and collect a stamp at each project station they visit. Residents who collect stamps from at least four project stations and turn in their passport will be entered into a prize drawing.
Free childcare, Spanish interpretation, and snacks will be provided. If you have any questions, please contact Zeta Fail, Organizational Excellence Senior Manager, at [email protected] or visit the Engage Durango Forum website.
