STATEMENT FROM JOSE MADRIGAL, CITY MANAGER OF DURANGO**
I wanted to let everyone know that Friday night I contacted the recruiter and officially withdrew my name from consideration for the Lakewood City Manager position.
I appreciate your patience and understanding as I took some time to reflect on this opportunity elsewhere.
While the future is never certain, my intention is to remain as Durango City Manager for the long term. This experience has reinforced my belief that our culture, systems, and processes are ahead of many organizations, and what we have built here in Durango is truly special.
Thank you once again. I look forward to continuing to serve the team for years to come.
