Grand Junction, CO – On August 8, 2026, at approximately 11:50 p.m., officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to a truck versus motorcycle crash in the area of HWY 6 and 50 and G Road.
Officers responded emergently to the scene of the crash and found the motorcyclist unconscious and lying on the roadway. Law enforcement performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation until emergency medical personnel from the Grand Junction Fire Department arrived. Despite lifesaving measures, the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased on scene.
The Mesa County Coroner’s Office will be responsible for releasing the identity of the deceased motorcyclist after next-of-kin notifications have been made.
The roadway remained closed for several hours as officers investigated the crash and conducted interviews with witnesses and the driver of the truck. The investigation remains ongoing, and there is no additional information available at this time.
