Join the Discussion About Proposed Charter Amendments

At a glance

The Montrose City Council will hold concluding public meetings on August 18 and September 1 to discuss proposed charter amendments.

The Montrose City Council will continue discussing proposed amendments to the Montrose City Charter over the coming weeks. Community members are encouraged to learn more about the proposals and provide public input.

Public meetings about the proposed City Charter amendments were held on Wednesday, July 29; Monday, August 3; and Tuesday, August 4. Recordings of those meetings are available for viewing on-demand on the city's Public Meetings Portal and YouTube channel. Due to the withdrawal of potential amendment items that were scheduled for discussion on Tuesday, August 13, that special meeting was cancelled.

The concluding public meetings involving charter amendments will be held on Tuesday, August 18 at 6 p.m. (regular City Council meeting) and Tuesday, September 1 at 6 p.m. (special meeting).
