Montrose, CO — Montrose City Councilors voted to appoint Cindee Williams to the City Council’s At-Large seat during their regular meeting Monday evening, November 2. Williams was appointed by a unanimous vote of the council.
Williams’ appointment fills a vacancy left by Adam Woodden, who resigned from the At-Large seat in October and was reappointed to the council’s District IV seat formerly held by Dave Frank. Frank resigned from the City Council in September.

As set forth by the City Charter, the City Council formally votes to appoint a replacement to serve until the next General Municipal Election, which will occur in 2028.
To fill the vacancy in the At-Large seat, applications were accepted from anyone living within the city limits. The council then selected three finalists, John Brown, Danielle Godt, and Williams, from the ten applications received by the City Clerk.
Mayor Michael Badagliacco, J. David Reed, Ed Ulibarri, and Adam Woodden thanked the applicants for taking the time to apply for the vacancy and for their interest in public service.
