The Aspen Loop is a 39-mile multipurpose trail in the San Juan National Forest near Hesperus, Colorado. It connects to forest roads FR 560, FR 561, FR 350, and FR 556. The route passes through thick aspen forests with views of Hesperus Mountain, which rises to 13,000 feet. Elevation ranges from 8,880 to 11,050 feet. The trail is open year-round for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and OHV use. Signage marks most major intersections. Parking is available at the trailhead. Pets are allowed on the trail.
