Colorado's largest body of water, Blue Mesa Reservoir is renowned for excellent kokanee salmon, rainbow and brown trout, and lake trout fishing. With 96 miles of shoreline and multiple access points, it offers diverse fishing opportunities from shore fishing to deep water trolling. The reservoir is particularly famous for its record-breaking lake trout (Mackinaw) and its fall kokanee salmon run.
