Bobby Brown is a sport climbing route located in Rifle Mountain Park on the Western Slope, near Rifle, Colorado. The climb is classified as difficult and sits at an elevation of 5,856 feet. It features a long, left-angling hand crack that cuts through bulging limestone rock. The route is approximately 110 feet long and requires between 12 to 15 quickdraws, though some permadraws are present on the final bolts. Climbers gain the crack by climbing straight up from a pile of rubble to the right of the Turtle Power route. The ascent involves jamming, spanning, and heel hooking past several mini-cruxes. A significant feature is a big roof near the top, which climbers attack after resting under it. The rock quality ranges from good to bad due to silt and moss, but traffic has helped clean some older sections. Parking is available in designated areas within the park, and visitors must purchase a daily or season pass to enter. The area is pet-friendly and accessible year-round, from January through December. Climbers should expect a 4-hour outing.
