The resort features 470 acres of skiable area with 44 trails, blending gentle groomers for beginners with challenging terrain suitable for experienced riders. The base elevation is 7,870 feet, rising to a summit of 9,900 feet. The typical season runs from November through April, supported by snowmaking on 108 acres and an annual average snowfall of 200 inches. The mountain is divided into three distinct areas: Tiehack, which is popular with uphill skiers and snowboarders; main Buttermilk; and West Buttermilk, described as a mellow beginner's paradise.
