About
Cactus Cut Off is a 0.2-mile singletrack connector in the Jumbo Mountain Trails network near Paonia, Colorado. Located at 5,938 feet elevation, the trail branches right off Herfendoodle after the bridge at the bottom of the lower loops and before reaching Bang Zoom. It serves as an alternate exit route for riders bypassing part of the lower loop system. The trail is rated moderate and typically takes about two minutes to ride. Locals favor this route in the spring, specifically when the namesake Claretcup cactus blooms alongside the path. The trailhead offers parking, and pets are permitted. Access is generally available from April through October.
