About

Cascade Falls is a 6.8-mile out-and-back moderate hike in Rocky Mountain National Park, starting from the North Inlet Trailhead near Grand Lake. The trail follows North Inlet Creek, passing through meadows and areas affected by the 2020 East Troublesome Fire, which has reduced tree cover and shade. Hikers encounter a waterfall and opportunities to spot moose, deer, and elk. The route is popular for day hiking and backpacking, with multiple backcountry campsites available. Dogs are not permitted on the trail. The best visiting window is May through October, though September offers cooler temperatures and fall foliage. Parking is available at the trailhead.
