About
The Clear Creek Loop is a difficult mountain biking trail located in the Uncompahgre National Forest near Montrose, Colorado. The route sits at an elevation of 5,809 feet and typically runs from April through October. Riders access the trail via two trailheads off Divide Road, with parking available at either end. The 9-mile loop features high-elevation singletrack winding through aspen groves and offers several viewpoints of the plateau. The terrain includes loose, rocky descents and flowy sections, with the singletrack quality peaking in the final miles before the climb back to Divide Road. The trail is generally ridden west to east to minimize climbing on the loose surface, though it can be traversed in either direction. Pets are allowed on the trail.
