Cliffhanger is a 0.2-mile mountain biking trail in Grand Junction, Colorado, located near Redlands and the South Camp neighborhood. The route climbs to the western edge of the Water Tower system, situated just southwest of the actual water tower structure. The trail features rocky terrain with bumpy sections that require pedal control and stamina. Riders topping out at the viewpoint gain views of the Colorado National Monument to the west. A short descent on loose rock leads to an intersection where riders can continue climbing to the water tower or meander along the edge of Overlook. The trail is rated moderate and is accessible from April through October. Parking is available, and the trail is pet-friendly.
