The trail surface is asphalt or concrete, offering a smooth ride suitable for families and beginners. Elevation is approximately 4,591 feet with minimal gain. Parking is available at various access points, and the trail is pet friendly. The trail is open from April through October. There are no restrooms or water filling stations at the trailhead, so riders should bring their own water. The area is known for scenic river views and access to parks, including Las Colonias Park.
