Flux Capacitor is the longest trail in the Electric Hills Trail System, located near Montrose, Colorado. It is classified as a difficult mountain biking route with an elevation of 5,809 feet. The trail features flowy sections, challenging rock moves, berms, rollers, and a seasonal waterfall. Riders encounter water crossings and technical moments, including a specific drop that benefits from a dropper post. The trail winds through high desert terrain and offers views. It is accessible from April through October, with a seasonal closure from December 1 to April 15. Parking is available, and the trail is pet-friendly. While the trail is intended to be ridden counter-clockwise, it is rideable in either direction. It can be combined with Electric Avenue to form a larger loop within the Electric Hills system.
