Free Candy is a rock climbing destination located in Rifle Mountain Park, near Rifle, Colorado. The site sits at an elevation of 5,457 feet and is classified as difficult. Climbers access the area via State Highway 325, driving north from Rifle past the Rifle Falls Fish Hatchery. The entrance begins approximately 2,000 feet after the paved road turns to gravel. Parking is available on site in designated areas, and dogs must be kept on leash. The climbing features limestone routes from the Leadville formation, characterized by slightly overhanging to very overhanging walls. The routes are generally long and complex, offering technical challenges with large flat holds, pockets, crimps, and pinches. The area is accessible year-round, with peak activity occurring from May through September. A valid day pass is required for vehicles.
