Granby Road (FS 115) is a multi-use forest service road on the Grand Mesa near Cedaredge and Grand Junction, Colorado. The trail begins across from the Island Lake Day Use Area and Island Lake Campground, starting on FS 116 before turning west onto the south-facing slopes of the Grand Mesa. The route is approximately 4.2 miles long with an elevation gain of roughly 307 feet, reaching a high point near 10,275 feet. The surface is an unpaved, rugged road with large embedded rocks, suitable for 4WD vehicles but straightforward for hiking. It is open to hikers, mountain bikers, horseback riders, and motorized vehicles. The trail passes through mixed pine and aspen forests, open meadows, and past several reservoirs, including the distinctively green Little Gem Reservoir and the larger Granby Reservoir 11. Wildflowers, such as pink and white Corydalis, may appear in June or early July. Parking is available at the intersection of FS 116 and FS 115, or at the paid Island Lake Day Use Area. The road remains accessible year-round, though winter conditions can bring snow and ice.
