The trail connects the Hawkeye Road Trailhead off I-70 west of Fruita to the top of Mack Ridge. It features a moderate climb with rocky and sandy sections, leading to views of the Grand Valley. The route is known for its flowy surface and technical alternate lines incorporating rock outcrops and boulders. Parking is available at the trailhead, which is located on the south side of I-70 at the Mack Exit. The trail is open year-round, though conditions vary with mud, dust, and snow. Restrooms are available at the trailhead. Pets are allowed.
