About
The Ridgeline Tour is a difficult, expert-level mountain biking route located in the Kokopelli Loops system near Loma and Fruita, Colorado. The trail begins at a saddle between Mack Ridge and Moore Fun, accessible by driving west on Hawkeye Road from Loma or east from Mack. The route covers approximately 16.4 miles with an elevation gain starting at 4,518 feet. It is a clockwise loop connecting Moore Fun, Mary's Loop, Lion's Loop, and Mack Ridge. The ride is characterized by steep climbs, technical singletrack, and significant exposure to cliffs overlooking the Colorado River and McGinnis Canyons. Riders should expect to hike their bikes on technical sections, particularly on the steep, loose climbs of Lion's Loop and the technical descent of Moore Fun. The trail is suitable from April through October. Parking is available at the main trailhead and along the ridge. The terrain is high desert, offering little shade and wide-open views.
