Lizard Loop is a 1.9-mile moderate mountain biking trail located on 18 Road in Fruita, Colorado. Situated at an elevation of 5,155 feet, the route follows a loop design that allows riders to complete the course without backtracking. The trail is characterized by fast, rolling terrain and signature ribbon-like features along the edge of a small mesa. It contains no aggressive climbs or descents, making it suitable for riders with some experience who are looking to add miles rather than tackle steep gradients. The ground surface is primarily dirt, though recent conditions note soft sections and outside corners that may slow progress. The trail is generally dry and accessible from April through October. Parking is available near the trailhead, and pets are permitted. While typically estimated to take around 20 to 30 minutes, the actual duration can vary based on trail conditions and rider speed.
