About

The Mack Ridge Connector is a 2.2-mile mountain biking trail near Fruita, Colorado, managed by the BLM. It serves as a connector route, historically referenced as the old doubletrack from Lion's Loop, though it functions as a distinct trail for navigation. The trail is rated moderate and typically runs from April through October. Surface conditions vary; some sources describe it as doubletrack while others note smooth singletrack with rocky and sandy sections. The ride time is estimated at approximately 24 minutes. Parking is available at the trailhead. Dogs are allowed, but e-bikes are not permitted. The trail is located in the Grand Junction Field Office area. Note that the adjacent Mack Ridge trail (distinct from the Connector) is a 4-mile out-and-back route with technical challenges and a hike-a-bike section, but the Connector itself is the shorter, connecting route.
