The site sits at an elevation of approximately 9,769 feet, though it is sometimes referenced with higher peak elevations nearby. The climbing offers a mix of trad and sport routes, suitable for climbers with some experience. Access is via County Road 2, branching off from Silverton toward Howardsville. The road remains passable until mid-November, after which snow and ice often close it to regular traffic. Climbers can drive 4WD vehicles partway up the gulch or hike from the CR2 junction.
