About
Potholes Recreation Site is a rustic, free campground located 12 miles up Escalante Canyon from Delta, Colorado, within the Dominguez-Escalante National Conservation Area. The site offers designated overnight camping spots, picnic tables, fire rings, and vault toilets. It is accessible via unpaved roads, and a high-clearance vehicle is recommended. The area is known for river access, hiking, and stargazing, with no cell service available. Pets are allowed, and the site is open from May through September.
