The Ridge of Doom is a 1.3-mile hiking and mountain biking trail located in the Jumbo Mountain Trail System just outside Paonia, Colorado. The trail follows the spine of a steep ridge, offering views of the surrounding area. It begins at the Grassy Knoll and descends approximately 1.3 miles to meet Powerline Road. The terrain consists primarily of smooth adobe clay with some loose rocks, making footing generally stable when dry. The trail has an average grade of 13 percent and involves about 814 feet of elevation change. Parking is limited at the trailhead at the end of Pan American Avenue, with additional space available at Apple Valley Park, which includes a restroom. Access requires heading east on 3rd Street in Paonia, turning left onto Rio Grande Avenue, which becomes Pan American Avenue. The trail is accessible year-round, though winter conditions require caution.
