Ridgway Reservoir in Ouray County offers bank and boat fishing for kokanee salmon, rainbow trout, brown trout, splake trout, kokanee salmon, green sunfish, and yellow perch. Located near Ridgway at 6,900 feet, the reservoir is open from April through October. Kokanee salmon, averaging one to two pounds, are a primary target, often found in depths between 48 and 58 degrees. Anglers use small lures trolled at specific depths or corn. Rainbow and brown trout are stocked by Colorado Parks and Wildlife. Brown trout migrate to shallows in spring and deeper water in summer. The site provides parking, restrooms, boat launch ramps, and fishing boat rentals. It is pet-friendly and accessible from Loghill Village, Ridgway, and Colona.
