Hikers can expect to spend around 2 hours exploring the trails, which are accessible year-round from January to December. The park's trails vary in terrain, but generally, they wind through a mix of sagebrush and piñon pine landscapes, with some routes following the shoreline of Rifle Gap Reservoir. Parking is available near the visitor center, and pets are allowed to accompany their owners on the trails.
