The Rifle Gap State Park Visitor Center, located on the northeast side of the reservoir off State Highway 325, serves as the primary hub for hiking in this 1,341-acre park. The area features moderate trails winding through pinyon and cedar-covered mountains, with some routes following the shoreline of the 360-acre Rifle Gap Reservoir. Hikes typically last about two hours. The site is open year-round and offers public restrooms, first aid, a gift shop, and internet access. Parking is available near the center. Pets are allowed on the trails. The park is situated approximately 40 miles from Glenwood Springs.
