About
Sabermetrics is a 5.12a sport climb located in the Left Field sector of the Ouray Vicinity climbing area. The route is 100 feet long and situated on a steep slab at the far right end of the cliff, noted for its resemblance to a baseball diamond. The first ascent was established by Nick Walendziak and Eddie Medina on July 28, 2024. The approach begins dead center on the slab, with a recommendation to stickclip the first bolt. The climb involves a mantle onto a crack feature, followed by following the crack up and left to a stance at the arete. The route continues through a finger crack and a steeper section before finishing with easy climbing to the chains. The crag offers parking and is pet friendly. The area sits at an elevation of 7,753 feet.
