About

Short and Demanding is a 50-foot sport climbing route located on the Super Puoux wall in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. The route is characterized by its short length and high intensity, with the crux moves occurring early near the second bolt. Climbers must navigate continuous movement to reach a no-hands rest in a scoop halfway up, followed by two semi-hard boulder problems before tiptoeing to the anchor on questionable rock. The climbing quality is rated four stars for movement but only two stars for rock quality, which is described as silt and crumbly limestone. The route starts on the left side of a small gray scoop within the Super Puoux wall. Access is via private property on the Defiance Cave Preserve, requiring climbers to download, complete, and submit a waiver to property manager Ken Headrick via email. Parking is available on-site, and the site is pet-friendly. The route is accessible year-round.
