The trail spans 0.4 miles (approximately 2,078 feet) and sits at an elevation of 7,100 feet. It is a singletrack route that can be hiked in either direction and is generally considered flat with an easy physical rating. The route loops around a bench on Elk Ridge, offering views of the Ridgway Reservoir and the town below. Parking is available near the trailhead, and the trail remains accessible year-round from January through December. The typical duration is brief, often completed in about 12 minutes.
