Soaring Tree Top Adventures is a guided zipline and canopy trail destination located in the San Juan National Forest, approximately six miles from the nearest road near Durango, Colorado. The site sits on 120 private acres of old-growth Ponderosa pine and aspen groves. Access is exclusively by the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad; guests ride in private train cars to reach the remote property. The primary activity is a zipline tour featuring 27 spans, described as the longest in the United States, with individual spans ranging from 56 to 1,400 feet. The experience includes an ecology tour and a four-course lunch served on a suspended platform overlooking the Animas River. The tour typically lasts about five and a half hours. The area is open year-round, with conditions varying by season. It is suitable for ages 4 to 94 and is pet-friendly.
