Spinney Mountain State Park offers a moderate fall hiking experience, with trails that take visitors through a mix of forest and open meadows. The 2-hour hike provides an opportunity to enjoy the changing colors of the aspen trees, which are typically at their peak from September through November. The park's trails can be dry and dusty in the fall, but the scenic views of the surrounding mountains and the chance to spot wildlife such as deer and elk make the hike worthwhile. Visitors can access the trails from the parking area and take advantage of the available restrooms, and pets are also allowed to join their owners on the hike.
