About
T-Mac is a rock climbing area in Rifle Mountain Park, located near the town of Rifle on Colorado's Western Slope. The site sits at an elevation of 6,061 feet and features difficult sport climbing routes. The rock is limestone from the Leadville formation, characterized by large flat holds, pockets, crimps, and pinches. The climbing style is often described as overhanging to very overhanging, requiring endurance and technical skill. The area is accessible year-round, though it can be crowded on weekends between May and September. Parking is available at designated spots, including the Feline parking lot near G3. The site allows pets and requires a daily or season entry pass. Climbers should expect cold winters and shaded afternoons in the summer due to the canyon's east-facing aspect.
