About
Test Tracks Loop is a 6.9-mile moderate mountain biking route in Durango, Colorado, located within Overend Mountain Park on the town's west side. The trail sits at 7,050 feet and typically takes riders about two hours to complete. The system is known for fast, flowy descents and technical challenges across shale hills covered in pine, juniper, and oak. Access is easy via multiple trailheads, with Leyden Street being a primary entry point near the city center. The loop begins by traversing the hillside base before climbing Hidden Valley. From there, riders can descend Star Wars into a bobsled-run-style section or take Grabens trails. The route continues up 8 Bells and connects to Hogsfoot, which offers rocky challenges along the bottom of Hogsback. Spirit Trail provides a twisty connection back toward Ella Vita, leading to the ridge and Brown's Ridge Jump Line. The trail is suitable for riding from April through October, though conditions vary with weather and maintenance. Parking is available at the trailhead, and pets are allowed.
