Block and Tackle Trail, designated as Trail 545, is a multi-use route in the Gunnison National Forest near Gunnison, Colorado. The trail connects Brush Creek Road and Cement Creek Road, providing access between the Brush Creek and Cement Creek drainages. It begins at an intersection with Brush Creek Trail 400, climbs to a ridge summit where it intersects Double Top Trail 405, and descends to Cement Creek Road (FSR 740). The route spans approximately 3.2 to 3.4 miles with an elevation range between 10,098 and 11,067 feet. Hikers encounter significant elevation gain of roughly 969 to 1,020 feet. The trail surface is dirt and allows hiking, biking, horseback riding, and motorcycle use. It is open year-round, though winter conditions apply. Parking is available at the trailhead.
